Four Pillars Gin has earned some impressive titles, including being named International Gin Producer of the Year on three separate occasions. As a result, their distillery in Healesville, nestled in the heart of the Yarra Valley, has become a must-visit spot for gin lovers from around the world! The pioneering Australian-based brand prides itself on its intense creativity around gin, with a huge passion for hospitality and gin-fuelled fun. While their delicious gin has won them some of the top awards in their industry on a global scale, everything they do is for the love of gin enthusiasts, making customer experience a priority.

While undergoing a website upgrade, the brand decided it was time to upgrade its gift card system too. Their custom-built gift card system was giving them constant issues, from customers being unhappy with the design and frustrated with delivery delays, to staff having to deal with manual time-consuming processes and disjointed redemption on additional devices.

“We were having constant issues. We needed a new gift card solution that integrated with both Shopify Plus and our POS system, Lightspeed Restaurant O Series.” - Clare Fletcher, Website & Ecommerce Manager

As well as seamless integration with POS and eCommerce, Clare had a wishlist for gift cards that would help them deliver the customer experience that would align better with their world-leading brand:

  • User-friendly (from a customer and staff POV)

  • Customizable without relying on a developer

  • Gift card reporting including liability and balance reporting

  • Upload gift cards in bulk for promotions and marketing activity

  • QR code functionality for quick processes in-venue

  • Apple & Google Wallet integration

  • Send to a friend functionality and scheduling

  • Self-serve check balance gift card functionality for our customers

  • Lightspeed and Shopify Plus integration

Solution

Wrapped fulfilled all of the requirements Clare was looking for. Now with Wrapped, Four Pillars is both delivering a gift card experience that aligns with their highly regarded brand and operating even more efficiently, without all the manual steps that their previous gift cards required.

“Venue staff love that they can scan gift cards and create a gift card directly in Lightspeed. The Customer Experience team loves that they can issue, resend, and top up gift cards in Wrapped.” - Clare Fletcher, Website & Ecommerce Manager

How Four Pillars Gin uses Wrapped

Four Pillars Gin has its two Lightspeed locations and Shopify store synced to Wrapped. Online, customers can purchase a digital gift card via a Shopify product page, which they instantly receive by email. And in-store physical and digital gift cards are quickly issued without leaving the Lightspeed sell screen.

We love what Four Pillars Gin has done with its gift card design. Not only do all of their gift card emails and assets look and feel like another of their delicious and creative gin products, but they’ve also extended their creativity to their customers, giving gift card buyers a selection of branded gift card designs to choose from.

“I love that Wrapped is so customizable across all the different touchpoints. I can ensure these touchpoints are aligned with the Four Pillars Gin brand, without relying on a developer." - Clare Fletcher, Website & Ecommerce Manager

“Customers love that they can send to a friend and schedule in the gift card email.” - Clare Fletcher, Website & Ecommerce Manager

Four Pillars have published a dedicated page on their website to showcase their gift cards. Customers can buy and gift a gift card and check an existing gift card’s balance. This self-service page saves them on possible gift card-related queries; just another way their new gift card system has reduced the time staff were spending managing gift cards.

As Four Pillars begins to experiment with gift cards in their marketing and events, we can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
